So what now?
well as we approach the singularity my greatest advice for future generations or even for scientists and engineers now is to start working on rules and laws to prevent intelligent machines from taking over. I can't say that we should ban Robotics and AI from becoming super-intelligent because that is downright impossible, but if we can create laws that prevent or at least manage what we can and can't do then hopefully that will decrease any chances of a Skynet uprising...hopefully. And for the loss of employment for about half of the population, well that will have to call for a drastic change in the economy and maybe governments should look into Marxist like ideals and maybe have people get an income automatically and for those who work will also have the option of being payed (obviously less) on top of their income. As an optimist I hope that the future that lies ahead will only come to benefit humanity in the long run and maybe we will incorporate ourselves with the robots and become them. The last great evolution for man will be from the biological to the mechanical and how awesome would that be?
